UK overcharging

LLOYD’S LIST INSURANCE DAY - 10TH APRIL 2002

Homeowners are being overcharged by £6 billion ($8.7 billion) for mortgage payment protection insurance in the UK.

According to research from mortgage payment protection insurance provider Burgesses, the £6 billion saving could be made if borrowers switched their insurance from mortgage lenders to independent mortgage payment protection insurance providers.
