Major rip-off

DAILY EXPRESS - 9TH MARCH 2005

Some workers want this kind of cover to give added peace of mind if they lose their job – but prohibitive cost means many people are put off so Burgesses Income Protection, a broker product which charges just £3 per £100 of income cover, is to be welcomed.

Unlike most of these policies, it does not discriminate against the self-employed and short term workers who often need it the most. Protecting a net monthly income of £800 for example would cost just £24 – it could be money well spent.
