Free mortgage payment protection insurance

WHAT MORTGAGE - 1ST MARCH 2003

What Mortgage has teamed up with Burgesses to offer all readers three months of free mortgage payment protection insurance cover.

If you’re buying a new home, the last thing you want to think about is losing it. But if something unexpected happens, you could find yourself unable to meet your mortgage payments. mortgage payment protection insurance is designed to pay out in the event of an accident, sickness or unemployment, enabling you to cover the payments on your home.

Take out an mortgage payment protection insurance policy from Burgesses before 31st January and you will receive three months’ cover free of charge. As an extra bonus, Burgesses will waive the 90-day exclusion period, which means if you fall ill the day after taking the policy, your claim will still be considered.

The premiums on the deal are very competitive. Full accident, sickness and unemployment cover is available for £3.95 a month per £100 of monthly repayments covered. Unemployment cover costs £2.45 per £100, as does insurance against accident and sickness only.

The offer is available to new and existing borrowers.
