City underwriting agency Burgesses is unveiling a mortgage payment protection insurance policy universal rates – irrespective of age, occupation, gender or employment status.
Burgesses’ Equality product provides individual or joint cover against the risks of disability and unemployment after a waiting period of only 30 days.
It is available to all UK residents aged between 18 and 65 provided they have worked for a minimum of 16 hours per week for the past six months.
Burgesses managing partner Simon Burgess comments: “A job for life is history. The Government is making loud noises about citizens making their own provision and Equality being an attractively positioned product in terms of content and price will enable people currently in employment to have peace of mind at an affordable cost.”
