Disability product goes online

Wholesale disability insurer Burgesses has launched a website for brokers and independent financial advisers, allowing them online access to its DisabilitySafe product.
The site, www.goodinsurance.co.uk, allows policy wordings and application forms to be downloaded, as well as giving quotes. Cover can also be organised online.
Customers who access the site will be given the name of local broker to facilitate their needs. The product is underwritten at Lloyd’s.
Managing director Simon Burgess said 150 brokers were currently using the site, but that number could grow to thousands. He added that the company was presently writing in the region of £9 million of this class of business and hoped most of it would be transferred through the site.
