Burgesses unveils HouseSafe

City underwriting agency Burgesses is launching a mortgage and income payment protection insurance policy that provides six months free unemployment cover, without obligation or cost, to new mortgage or remortgage clients. HouseSafe provides free cover to anyone taking out a mortgage, irrespective of occupation, gender or employment status, provided that they are aged between 18 and 65 and are resident in the UK. It provides tax-free benefits (discounted in the calculation of income support) of up to £1,500 per month of 75% of gross earnings.
