INSURANCE NEWS - 1ST JULY 2003
Underwriting agent Burgesses is launching two new income payment protection insurance products.
The policies independencefirst and prosperityfirst provide cover against the risk of unemployment and disability.
Independencefirst provides a maximum tax free monthly payment for up to 12 months for employed UK residents aged between 18 and 65.
Prosperityfirst pays claimants up to £2,500 per month up to 12 months after a waiting period of 30 days.
Both policies include cover for high risk occupations such as airline pilots and HGV drivers.
The premium rates for both contracts are £2.50 per £100 monthly benefit and include tax and agents commission of 20 per cent.
Burgesses managing partner, Simon Burgess, says that the two policies will give clients and their families peace of mind during a major health or unemployment crisis.
