Burgesses’ highlights bad practice

Insurance broker Burgesses estimates that mis-leading selling techniques from lenders on personal loan insurance are netting over £10million in premiums a day.

Only nine of the top 20 lenders asked a Burgesses mystery caller if the customer wanted a quote with or without insurance.

Insurance watchdog the GISC is said to be “extremely concerned.”
