Specialist underwriting agency Burgesses; has launched “DisabilitySAFE”, for personal and corporate protection.
DisabilitySAFE is the latest Burgesses protection contract dedicated to “establishing an ‘all needs covered’ disability package for intermediary using people and businesses.”
DisabilitySAFE id underwritten by a panel of insurers, including Lloyd’s and has three main components: accidental death and/or accidental loss of limbs, eyes, speech or hearing; income protection; and permanent disability.
Cover is available on an individual or group basis of up to £1 million per person after deferred period of 2, 4, 13 or 26 weeks to all occupations, (including very high risk, such as City traders) without the need for medical underwriting. It also features the calculation of benefits based upon lost chargeable hours.
Burgesses’ managing partner Simon Burgess comments, “DisabilitySAFE will provide clients and their families with peace of mind during a major health crisis and enable businesses either to fulfil their contractual obligations to employees or secure compensation of the loss of their services at a moderate and predetermined cost.”
Commission of up to 20% is available to intermediaries.
