Burgess ties in with BIBA to aid accident, sickness and unemployment market
FINANCIAL ADVISER - 17TH MARCH 2005
Burgesses is attempting to develop the IFA market for accident, sickness and unemployment schemes after partnering with the British Insurance Brokers’ Association.
Protection specialist Burgesses has been appointed by BIBA to exclusively provide its members with access to accident, sickness and unemployment schemes for their clients.
Simon burgess, managing direct of Burgesses, said: “accident, sickness and unemployment is one of the least recommended products in protection among IFAs, but not banks. I believe the tie with BIBA will boost the accident, sickness and unemployment market among intermediaries.
“Our intention is to provide BIBA members with a one-stop shop for accident, sickness and unemployment insurance to enable them to claim a share of the £5bn in annual commissions that are available in the UK alone.”
Graeme Trudgill, technical services manager of BIBA, said: “Traditionally, only a few brokers have realised the vast earning potential of accident, sickness and unemployment insurance.
“We believe that by using vast experience of Burgesses, BIBA members will be able to give their clients quality cover for the mutual benefit of all concerned.
