MORTGAGE STRATEGY - 12TH FEBRUARY 2007
I was not surprised to read Simon Burgess' response to my recent letter (Mortgage Strategy January 8) as he does not appear to be the sort of person who can keep the cork in his bottle of vitriol when the crassness of his behaviour is in any way criticised.
He rants on irrationally about his spending habits being his own business but is more than happy to advertise the most extreme of these in a national trade magazine. In the next breath, he criticises the "devastating greed" of others in our industry.
The question of whether his business is run efficiently or not was never posed, what I am most astounded by was the insularity of his feelings and the manner of his responses to my original questions.
But he correctly predicts that in the absence of any need for one, there will be no apology.
