Redundancy insurance can help fulfil your family’s needs

- 28TH JULY 2007

Redundancy insurance is becoming more and more common these days because individuals value the freedom that having a job can actually give them, in terms of lifestyle and entertainment. However, the vast majority of individuals still do not have redundancy insurance despite the fact that several big supermarket firms have recently left literally thousands out of a job and thrown families into disarray.

Redundancy insurance may sound off putting to those individuals who do not like to tempt fate or believe that they will never need such a cover, but the need is greater than ever considering many families within the UK are struggling to make ends meet. That is essentially what redundancy insurance offers though – a way to provide for the family despite actively looking for a job with no traditional wage coming in.

It can be hard enough to find a job if you do not need one, let alone if you do. Redundancy insurance will cover a wage for twelve to twenty-four months in the event that the individual covered loses his or her job. This period of time most definitely eases the burden and stress and frees individuals up to look for a job without becoming desperate.

The ethical British Insurance offers redundancy insurance to individuals enquiring about it. They recognise the value of informing the customer what he or she is covered for, and they are not the only standalone company that does so. However, at a much higher price, it appears that high street banks and lenders do not!
