Affiliate Terms of Trade
The following words will have special meanings in relation to this agreement:
| Commission | means the Commission payable by Us to You as published by Us from time to time |
| Our Website | means www.britishinsurance.co.uk and/or such other URL as we may notify You of from time to time. |
| Policy | means the insurance schemes We provide. |
| You/Your | means You the Website owner |
| Your Website | means the Website owned and managed by You upon which You place Our link |
| We/Us/Our | means British Insurance Limited, The Octagon, Middleborough, Colchester, CO1 1TG |
1. Licence
We grant You a non-exclusive licence to place a link to Our Website on Your Website for the purpose of providing Our Policy.
2. Web Site Content
2.1 You agree that Your Website will not contain information which is illegal, defamatory or in any way likely to damage Our reputation or the reputation of Our Policy.
2.2 Any advertising issued by You which relates to Us, or the Policy shall only be issued with Our prior written consent.
3. Commission
3.1 We will pay You Commission in relation to each Policy sold via Your Website for as long as this agreement remains in force.
3.2 Commission will be paid within 28 days of the end of the month in which the Policy was sold provided the Commission amount is greater than £100. Where the Commission due is less than £100, We will pay Commission 28 days following the end of the month in which Commission exceeds £100.
4. Policy Provision
4.1 For the avoidance of doubt We reserve the right to refuse any application to purchase a Policy.
4.2 You will not:
(a) Vary the terms of the Policy
(b) Vary any premium or other payment or payment terms relating to the Policy.
(c) Cancel or transfer any Policy without the prior written consent of the buyer
(d) Purport to bind cover or suggest that You have the right to do so.
5. Other Obligations
5.1 For the duration for this agreement You will:
(a) Comply with the Financial Services Act 2000 in respect of Your obligations under this agreement including but not limited to a duty to treat Buyers fairly.
(b) Comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.
(c) Comply with any other applicable rules and legislation.
6. Warranties and Indemnities
6.1 You warrant that You have the authority and ability to maintain the content of Your Website in accordance with this agreement;
6.2 You agree to indemnify Us in respect of all costs, claims, damages or such other liabilities as may arise out of:
(a) Your failure to comply with any provision of this agreement.
(b) Any damage to Our reputation or the reputation of the Policy caused by Your actions or negligence.
(c) Any breach of Your obligations set out in clause 5.
7. Term/Termination
7.1 This agreement shall commence on the date You first place a link on Your Website and shall continue until either party gives the other not less than one Weeks written notice to terminate.
7.2 Notwithstanding clause 7.1 We may terminate this agreement with immediate effect if:
get a quote for payment protection insurance(a) You fail to perform any of Your obligations under this agreement;
(b) You become insolvent, cease to carry on Your business, have a receiver, liquidator, administrator, trustee or other similar officer appointed over Your assets.
(c) Where applicable, Your Financial Services Authority registration ends or is revoked for whatsoever reason.
